Whitespace and other formatting problems in program PDF

Description
The PDF formatter seems to have problems when generating PDF from track descriptions when these descriptions contain line breaks. This example: http://conferences.dtu.dk/conferenceProgram.py?confId=13 (click the PDF button) demonstrates that a simple text with a newline in the track description makes the formatter go awry.
This example contains some HTML markup and newlines: http://conferences.dtu.dk/conferenceProgram.py?confId=20 . The HTML is filtered out alright, but fill-out is all wrong.
Not visible in these examples is that an ampersand in the conference title is shown as its HTML entity '&' in the PDF.
(Note: conferences.dtu.dk still runs 0.97rc1, but the same problems persist in 0.97rc2. I can provide source text of track descriptions on request, but any amount of HTML markup or newlines should suffice to reproduce the problem).
