Uploading material is slow

Description 

Dear Mr/Ms,

When I try to upload the attached presentation (~500KB using network cable)
to the indico meeting http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=96603
it takes a long time.

I do the usual sequence:
* Manage Material 
* Add Material
* Choose file
* Wait 6 minutes
* Create resource
* Wait 6 minutes

Is this normal?

He is using MacOS 10.5.8 and Chrome 5.0.375.

The slowness might happen because of cdsconv.
Actually, when cdsconv is down, the upload hangs for a very long time.
