Reschedule subcontributions automatically

My requirement is this:

-- I have several "contributions"
-- To each one I add several "sub-contributions"
-- I define durations for the "sub-contributions"

....so far so good, now for the bit that has always been missing:

-- I want one button that says "compute the schedule" to :
     1) define start times of each sub-contribution based on specified
         durations (with option to add e.g. 5 mins between each item)
     2) define that the start, duration and end times of the contribututions
         to fit the sub-contributions
     3) Then, if it is too long for the meting I trim the durations
and/or delete
         sub-contributions and click again "compute the schedule"

cannot be done because subcontributions do not have start time
