Description
Dear support,
I see that indico doesn't support Russian and Sovak. In my institute we can assign 2 persons, who can translate indico to these languages.
Can you send us information how to translate indico?
Thanks
Ciao
Martin

That's great news!
We use Transifex to coordinate translation:
https://www.transifex.com/
You should first register to the site and then look for the "indico" project and request that a translation to your language be created. There is already some work in Russian, so the person in question can just join in. Slovak will have to be requested, but we will of course accept it.
After that, Transifex is pretty easy to use. I would recommend that you use the glossary feature, It keeps things pretty clear for future translators. Otherwise, there are some resources in the wiki:
http://indico-software.org/wiki/Dev/i18n
But these are mostly directed towards developers. You won't need to do any of this if you are just translating. However, the last part:
http://indico-software.org/wiki/Dev/i18n#Managingdictionaries
can be pretty interesting if you want to try out how the translation looks.
I am adding Dirk in CC. He's one of the most active members in our community and a seasoned translator in both German and French :) He made a really nice presentation on the topic at the last Indico worksop.
