Howto unlock a session

Reported by: hoffmann Owned by: hoffmann

Component: General Version: 1.1

Description

I discovered today that it is possible to lock a session (not the whole event) : https://www.cta-observatory.org/indico/sessionModifTools.py?sessionId=12&...
That is a nice feature indeed, but how am I supposed to unlock it? I do not find my way to the .../sessionModification.py/open?sessionId=12&... URL, and the documentation only talks about close/delete a session.

Is this a real bug?

You have chosen v1.1 for this ticket. Is that for real? do you have version 1.1?

Because in version 1.0 we have added a clear message in order to unlock the session (you as manager can see it when accessing the session).

In prior versions to 1.0, honestly, I do not remember...

Any news on this dirk?

You are right. I am giving CTA-InDiCo? as example, and that server was and is still on v0.99.

I am afraid I will have to create another example again ...

In that case, is it ok if i close this ticket?

Well, I would prefer to look into it again first. You can assign it to me, so I have some reminder. :-)

I believe this is fixed in recent versions. I will close the ticket but please feel free to re-open it if the problem somehow persists.

I confirm. https://www.cta-observatory.org/indico/sessionModification.py?sessionId=0&confId=* now displays the usual "unlock session" dialog when the session is locked.

PS: If I promise to do something, you may also remind me of my open ticket. I won't be offended ;-)
BTW, is there a way to get automatic reminders? I have the impression that http://indico-software.org/report/7 is not showing me what I ought to do. (I am reopening this ticket to confirm.)

Can be closed. I will have to look regularly at "My Tickets" then.

Hi Dirk,

We were just going over the tickets in order to tie some loose ends just before releasing 1.2.
Thanks for confirming this!
