With migrated db gives "Your request could not be completed: empty tree" ERROR.

Description

All I have left from an old indico 0.96.2 instalation is a 4GB "Data.fs" database file. I installed the new version of indico 0.98, moved the db file Data.fs into the db direcotory.

When the web starts its shows message :
"Your request could not be completed: empty tree "

I can start up the indico web and log in, also see the all the users, but I dont see any data.

I also tried to run the migration scripts:
/usr/bin/migration/migrate_0.97_0.98.py

and before that I ran the reindex script:
/usr/bin/maintenance/indexes/reindexcategorynameindex.py

but running the other reindex script hang for 3 days, while utilizing the cpu at 98%, and I had to cancel it.:
/usr/bin/maintenance/indexes/reindexcategorydateindex.py

Could you advise how to migrate the old db to the new indico, or where might be an issue?

Thank you

Dear kzila,

I guess that to migrate from 0.96.2 it would be better to install first:

and afterwards:

Newer versions of Indico do not need to proceed like that for installations because we have already a migration mechanism. But since your version is quite old, there is no other way. I am sorry.
