I get the following :

I think he changed it directly in his git repository: https://github.com/tommy39/indico/commit/e314c8e0a7d875f9da4f1120698d8157f8396688
awaiting_merge means it's not integrated into the master (or in this case v1.2) branch yet. I guess he didn't know about transifex - so many thanks for updating it over there, too!

That's what I guessed, too. The work would have been lost with the next extraction from Transifex.
Is there a way to avoid this in future? (I cannot always be "police" for POT files. ;-)
To start, I would recommend to put a warning "DON'T EDIT THIS FILE" into all the derived POT files, unless we can find a good way to have the extraction implicit with a make like command.
Probably this is beyond the ticket, but we must formalise a bit more what we are doing with Transifex. I tried to add Thomas (Baron) as observer to this ticket. How can I do that?

A "do not edit" comment pointing to transifex sounds like a good idea. We'll certainly discuss it in two weeks once Jose and Pedro are back.
About the trac question: Not sure. I see a CC field in the "modify ticket" area which might do the job. Anyway, I believe Pedro is the guy to talk to since he's the project manager after all and he'll see the notification email from trac once he's back.

I see that field, but cannot change it.

OK, fine for me. But I think Thomas is coordinating the french translation on transifex and should be at least informed. A makefile like update would be ideal, but I do not know, how to do it in an clean way. (Likely to need a transifex-login to update the POTs.) There should be a semi-automatic update at least for each release build.

Ah, didn't know he's maintaining the French translation. Makes sense though as he's the only native french speaker in the team.

Please explain what you have done and why it is "awaiting_merge".
I checked transifex (which is supposed to be the source of the messages.pot file, right?), and the text was still wrong. Now corrected by me.
However Transifex has become more complicated, and I am not sure, if Thomas needs to validate the change now, before it can be extracted.
